  1. Proverbs 1: 2-7.
We have a manual for right living. The word of God that teaches wisdom. There’s something for everyone, mature adults and inexperienced youth, and it all starts with the fear of the Lord.

  2. Proverbs 1:10‭-‬15 NLT
My child, if sinners entice you, turn your back on them! They may say, “Come and join us. Let’s hide and kill someone! Just for fun, let’s ambush the innocent! Let’s swallow them alive, like the grave; let’s swallow them whole, like those who go down to the pit of death. Think of the great things we’ll get! We’ll fill our houses with all the stuff we take. Come, throw in your lot with us; we’ll all share the loot.” My child, don’t go along with them! Stay far away from their paths.

  3. I found the chapter to be a cornerstone. The passage speaks of fear, wisdom, and knowledge in verse 1:7.

Verses 26 and 27 warn of the consequences of disobedience. – Personally I felt fear of God’s rejection in life’s storms. He has been my help and protection over and over.

Verse 33 Gave a promise. With obedience comes reward. A life in safety and no fear of harm.

God is soooo good. He gives much and asks for little. I pray to be obedient and to be steadfast in NOT keeping company with lascivious ungodly people or engaging in things that do me or others harm

  4. 1 These are the proverbs of Solomon, David’s son, king of Israel.
2 Their purpose is to teach people wisdom and discipline,
to help them understand the insights of the wise.
3 Their purpose is to teach people to live disciplined and successful lives,
to help them do what is right, just, and fair.

This chapter helped me better understand God’s expectations to gain wisdom, his warning to beware temptations, and how wisdom is precious like silver.
The word said God gives knowledge and understanding- this to me is profound because knowing God’s word and understanding it are different.
I gravitated to verses 1 – 8 and 21 – 22. God’s promise to live in the land is a promise of His blessing for obedience.

My son, if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you,
2 turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding—
3 indeed, if you call out for insight
    and cry aloud for understanding,
4 and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,
5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.
    6 For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
7 He holds success in store for the upright,
he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
8 for he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones

  6. Day 2 Proverbs Challenge:

    Proverbs 2:1‭-‬8 NLT
My child, listen to what I say, and treasure my commands. Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him.

  7. Gbam! Full body armor🙌🙌🙌
    Proverbs 2:8,11-12,16
Wisdom guards me on all sides, my paths, my relationships and from evil men.
    Oh for more Wisdom!

This chapter causes me to think more about knowledge, faith, trust and understanding.
Verses 5 & 6 teack to acknowledge God in all your ways and not your own understanding for God will direct you.
Verses 21 – 27 give comfort in knowing God is our protector He is by our side and we will not be harmed. GOD IS SOOOOOOO GOOD!
My prayer is to understand more and by faith to grow – knowledge is the beginning but understanding and action help bear fruit.
I pray to be wise and reap my inheritance of honor and not get shame. 🙌 🙌 🙏

    Verse 35 from NIV:
The wise inherit honor, but fools get only shame.

  9. Proverbs 3:5‭-‬6 NLT
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

    Day 4 Proverbs Chapter 4
Today’s passage causes me to reflect on obedience. Listening and keeping God’s word. I thought about some of my choices and the results in my life.

Verses 20 – 27 gave instruction to keep God’s word and gave specific direction as to what to avoid and what to do.
I will focus on guarding my heart , how what goes in effects what comes out. I have found it is not always easy to remain straight and not to be diverted – no turning. Please pray with me and for me that with God’s help I continue to be steadfast.

    1. God bless you sister Nicole for your honesty! Be rest assured that we are in prayers for you. All things will work together for your good – regardless of the choices you made in the past. It’s a new day!

    Day 5 Chapter 5

Today’s passage spoke to the consequences of adulterous actions and the aimless direction of waywardness. It spoke of discretion in exposing things and referenced how it can flow through the streets. Disobedience can lead to self destruction and great loss.
I have said a whore is a sprint but a wife is the marathon.
Be blessed – I’m looking forward to worship today. ♥ ♥

    Day 6 Proverbs Chapter 6

I focused on the 7 things that are detestable and what Lord hates in verses 16 – 19. I will put these things to memory like the beatitudes. I love the Lord and want to please Him.

Verse 23 says ALOT – I took God’s word being a lamp and how it guides us through life.
As a young person I sang “This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine!!”. Today and in life’s tomorrow’s I will be more diligent in shining the light as I walk in the lamp of God’s word.

    Day 7 Proverbs 7
This chapter spoke on lust and adulterers. It disgusts me that people don’t honor their covenant to each other.
The chapter speaks of the behaviors of such adulterers and how some feel like they are “ok/justified”. It speaks of being in a snare or noose when people give into the temptation of lust and adultery.
The word says in verse 27 it is the highway to the grave.

    Day 8 Proverbs Chapter 8

In this chapter verses 17 – 19 and verse 30 gave me the opportunity for self reflection.
Verse 17 – In my life I haven’t always been “found” and I have loved and shown love to people that did not reciprocate or deserve it. Now that I know this about me, I must understand myself better and live accordingly.

Verses 18 & 19 I love the Lord. I will walk in prosperity and receive His fruits. 🙌

Verse 30 was the promise to walk by God’s side rejoicing.

Today God continues to carry me. I’m not strong enough to walk alone yet – but some day I will walk beside Him. God is soooooo good! 🙌

  15. Day 9 Proverbs Challenge:

    Proverbs 9:10‭-‬12 NLT
Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment. Wisdom will multiply your days and add years to your life. If you become wise, you will be the one to benefit. If you scorn wisdom, you will be the one to suffer.
